Merry Pebbles is a 3-Star
graded family resort on the banks
of the Sabie River, on the outskirts of Sabie town. Merry Pebbles offers
the traveler more than just a stop over, the resort is in itself a
holiday destination with facilities ranging from a restaurant, convenience
shop, heated and cold water
pools, water slides, flood-lit tennis court, entertainment hall, play
parks, mountain bike and hiking trails, all ensuring that the entire
family enjoy their vacation at this one stop holiday venue.
180 Level sites, all with 15amp three-pin plug, braai /
BBQ (supply your own grid (+/- 600mm). The sites are a minimum of 10m x 10m in size, level,
grassed and shady (maximum 8 persons and 1 vehicles per site). Sites are
not allocated but work on a first come first serve basis.
Sites are
charged per person, with an emphasis on space, no charge for extra
sites. Each tent and caravan site have their own power point and space
to enjoy the freedom of the area. The recommended procedure is to
reserve one site per vehicle and for one tent or caravan, then you can
relax in your own space.
All buildings and ablutions are non-smoking facilities. Four large ablution facilities,
three sculleries, coin operated laundromat, as well as a chemical
disposal dump are provided on site.
No contractors, permanent, long term stay or
labourers will be accommodated - only bona fide recreational travellers
are permitted. Pensioners, CCSA as well as AA members are eligible for
a discount during certain periods of stay.
Activities
Fish for trout on the Sabie River (no need for license
or fly fishing gear within the property). Tubing on the Sabie river is
one of the most popular activities at the resort, with many different
sizes and colour tubes or boats available for sale at reception.
